Choose failure over quitting! Transformation Tuesday.
Transformation Tuesday. Everyone's transformation is different, this is mine.
I wish I grasped that thought years ago trying to lose weight. I thought failing was a bad thing. And once I failed it meant I had to stop trying to lose weight. So I did. Plus, it was an exit for me. An excuse to stop trying. At that time, I looked for any excuse to give in. And failing meant that.
But failing isn't really failure. It's a little setback. A bump in the road. It's not the end of the world or bad like society has lead us to believe. It's part of the process. And part of that process is progress not perfection. Because no one is perfect. There is no perfect weight loss from beginning to end. My weight loss journey had been anything but perfect. So if you think that and keep putting off starting because you're scared of failing, you will never get to where you want in life! Stop letting the "perception of perfection" be the reason you're not starting or keep quiting!
Failing doesn't make you a failure. It is simply an outcome, a result which we don't prefer. Embrace your setbacks, improve, grow from it and move on! People fail all the time. Without failure there is no success. And as much as it hurts, it's important. It's necessary. It shows you're trying! Keep trying! The more you fail the more resilient you'll become.
Be patient and be kind to yourself. No matter where you're at with your weight loss journey, giving up may seem like the only viable option. BUT TRUST ME when I say, IT IS NOT!
