Don't let the perception of Perfection stop you!

There is no perfect weight loss journey from beginning to end. Everyone who struggles with weight loss has their own perception of perfection. When they should start. How it should look. How fast it should go or how long it should take. What steps they're willing to take to reach it.

There is reality and unrealistic expectations that you have set so high that you will never achieve. And this is the reason why so many people fail.

Be practical, not perfect! Pick a diet that fits your lifestyle long-term. Don't pick one that worked for your friend and they rant and rave about. You're seeing their success through one particular lense. Broaden your view and perspective.

This is a given, there should be no timeline to losing weight! If you want to lose 10 pounds in 30 days, that's not healthy and it's unrealistic! 10.pounds is a lot and you've speed up the process because of how unhappy you currently are. I get it! I've been there! But losing weight fast is a sure way to gain it back because you didn't work on any of your bad habits or educate yourself on how to keep it off.

Perfect is the enemy of great. We all aspire to do it all. Get a good workout in, make our own food, get at least 7 hours of sleep or try not to stress too much. I didn't even touch work or family life. You should be kicking butt at your job, and have sooooo much energy, and have amazing friends and family. Phhheww! That's a lot!

Reality alert!! You cannot do it all! And those who make it look that way are only showing you what they want you to see or a nutrition coach that wants you to check all those off before they'll help you lose weight, is ridiculous! No one can do it all. And you can't. My lifestyle is going to look different than yours. So be realistic and adjust your priorities. Adjust but don't give up or think you're a failure because you can't do it all. The bigger picture to weight loss is making changes slowly that work for you and that you can maintain. Not that work for everyone! Find a coach that understands that and works with YOU on your relationship with food, your habits and your fitness one day at time.
