I just want the number on the scale to go down- Transformation Tuesday
Transformation Tuesday. Everyone's transformation is different, this is mine.
I’ve said it in the past when trying to lose weight & I’ve heard clients say it when they first start with me.

Why is it that when we are losing weight, we tend to focus more on the scale than the relationship we have with food? Or the bad habits that are often picked up trying to lose weight quickly going from one diet to the next?
Digging deep & learning & understanding why you're doing the things you're doing is the ONLY way you are going to lose weight & keep it off. But no one wants to take the time to go that route because it’s hard to see and face our own failures and fix them. It’s easier to hop from one diet to the next, find quick fixes & ignore our bad habits & as to why we do them. So, we solely focus on the number on the scale as the only way we should approach weight loss. Nothing else. And we treat that number like it has some power over our happiness & how we view ourselves. And I get it. I used to be the same way. I wanted to be a certain weight for so long and when I got there, I was so happy! But in actuality, it’s just a number.
Although the scale is a good metric to know if you are headed in the right direction to losing weight, it is not THE ONLY measure of happiness.
So, ask yourself the next time you start a new diet, are you addressing your bad habits or eating in way that you can maintain? Remember, when trying to lose weight make your focus not just on the scale but your caloric intake, your habits, your behaviors, & goals you can feel, see and reach! Those are important too!!!
I’m going on over 2 years of losing the last 35 pounds of 60 that I had gained over most of my adult life. I did it without any surgery. I did it by not starving myself. I did it without doing any trendy pills or teas. That’s over 2 years of healthy eating and not eliminating ANY FOODS from my diet. That’s over 2 years of building healthy habits & working on my strength and doing workouts I love. And it's possible for you to make that change. It just takes time, hard work, dedication and the desire too! If I could do it, YOU CAN!
