One of the most common causes of failure is the habit of quitting when overtaken by temporary defeat
As the weekend approaches and you look forward to relaxing and throwing in the towel on your nutrition, again, maybe because you feel overwhelmed or stressed. I implore you, take a deep breath, and don’t give up or give in.
One of the most common causes of failure is the habit of quitting when one is overtaken by temporary defeat. This can be your diet or even your fitness. Circumstances weigh people down. Stress pushes us past what we think are our limits. While none of us have the same starting or ending line, to lose weight or even to eat healthier you don't wait until you have more free time or are less stressed. You figure out how to do the necessary things despite how hectic things get. This is one of the differences between successful dieters and unsuccessful ones. People quit because it's easier to run back to our safe zone than to confront unfavorable situations and work through them. But if you don’t put forth the effort or positive mindset, you will be stuck forever. It is not usually our circumstances that control us and determine our success; it is what we believe is within our power and the choices we make that shape the outcome. Life isn’t going to get easier. Life isn’t ever going to slow down. Life won’t ever give you more free time. And guess what if you keep putting yourself last, you will always feel like you are last! You can either keep finding ways to quit or retreat or you can keep working on your health and habits one day at a time, one meal and one workout! That’s all you can do some days. And that’s ok! But……..
Do.
Not.
Give.
Up.
Yes, difficult days lie ahead, but more importantly they will go! Keep showing up! It all starts and ends with the choices you make, being consistent and working through and to your weight loss or fitness goals!
