You can ruin a whole week of healthy eating with over indulging on the weekend. Many diets fail because people think those 2 days don't matter. I hear all sorts of excuses of why people fail on the weekends.
I'm too busy running errands I had to grab something quick. I was at a party and they didn't have any healthy food. I'm off my schedule. I worked out for an hour so I thought the pizza would be ok to eat. There was nothing else to eat, I didn't go grocery shopping. My kid didn't finish their food and I didn't want it to go to waste.
If you're only eating healthy 4 or 5 days out of the week, that is not enough to lose weight. Yes, you can indulge for one meal, but it can't be a whole weekend. That mentality of just one meal can sometimes snowball into a full blown day of bad choices too.
So what can you do to make your weekend a success? Preplan! Don't go into the weekend with blinders and wish for the best. If this is the same thing you've always done, then you'll get the same results you always have. Plan ahead. Don't let your next weekend turn into an eating binge or empty excuses, so that on Monday you can feel good about your choices and proud of yourself! And that one successful weekend will turn into another, and another!
